Chisinau, 22 March /MOLDPRES/- Unemployment benefits will be granted under new rules. They entered into force on 10 February, and beneficiaries can already get money in March. The National Social Insurance House (CNAS) made the statement.
Under the law, the territorial subdivision for employment establishes the right to unemployment benefit, and then the territorial social insurance houses determine its amount.
According to CNAS, the amount of unemployment benefit is calculated based on the beneficiary's insured income obtained over 12 months of the last 24 calendar months prior to registration with status of unemployed. At the same time, the amount of unemployment benefit is determined by the circumstances in which the unemployed person has ceased work, and this cannot exceed the average monthly wage in the economy for the previous year.
The insured income is confirmed under the information in the applicant's personal social insurance account. Thus, in order to calculate the amount of unemployment benefit, it is not required to submit any documents.
Unemployment benefits are paid for a period of 5 to 9 months, depending on the applicant's length of service.
