Public lighting on Muncesti road in Moldovan capital modernized

Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/- The public lighting installations on the Muncesti road in the capital were upgraded. They were inaugurated yesterday evening.
The length of the illuminated road is 7.5 km, from Botanica Garden to Dacia Boulevard. The works lasted more than a month, with 237 pillars and LED lighting. Upgrading works will allow for lower energy costs.
The total cost of the works is 3.6 million lei, the Chisinau City Hall announced.
Attending the event, acting mayor of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu said that Muncesti Street has not had public lighting for 30 years.
Currently there are works to modernize the public lighting on Moscow Boulevard. In 2019, the installations on streets Calea Mosilor, Calea Iesilor and Budesti 2 will be rehabilitated.
