Over 33,000 people submitted declarations on wealth, personal interests

Chisinau, 23 March /MOLDPRES/- Over 33,000 people submitted declarations on wealth and personal interests for 2018, which is half of the total number of subjects declared. The deadline for submission of declarations expires on 31 March.
According to the National Integrity Authority (ANI) data, more than 30 percent of the number of statements submitted this year were filled this week.
The subjects of the declaration can file statements at any time, not just during work hours (8:00 - 17:00).
ANI also informed that by 31 March will provide phone consultations on Saturdays and Sundays.
Failure to present the declaration of assets and personal interests on time, as well as the refusal to submit the document shall be grounds for terminating the mandate or the employment relationship. At the same time, the late submission of the declaration is sanctioned with a fine of up to 3,000 lei, and the failure to pay it - with a fine of not more than 4,500 lei.
Among those who have to file a declaration are persons holding public dignity, civil servants, members of the Superior Council of Magistracy and the Superior Council of Prosecutors among teachers.
