Chisinau, 26 March /MOLDPRES/ - The faction of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) is ready to start negotiations for the creation of an eventual parliamentary majority. PSRM leader Zinaida Grecianii today made statements to this effect at the end of a meeting with President Igor Dodon.
Greceanii said that talks between parties must first start and afterwards, discussions should be held on the acceptance or refusal of offices. The PSRM leader also said that, according to European practices, the party with most mandates in parliament should come up with proposals on the holding of certain positions.
„I do not think that it is rationally to discuss offices now. Although, according to European practices, we should come up with proposals on positions. We have not done this, although we have candidacies; yet, we will not do this, unless we start the negotiations,” Grecianii said.
The Socialists’ leader specified that the formation she leads remained open for discussions with the ACUM bloc, as well as with other parliamentary parties. Zinaida Grecianii noted that no discussions had been held with the Democratic Party so far.
Head of state Igor Dodon today called on all parties which entered the parliament to discussions, in order to create a parliamentary majority.
