Chisinau, 26 March /MOLDPRES/ - The leadership of the Democratic Party (PDM) and the one of the Party of Socialists (PSRM) today set forth their attitude towards the candidacies put forward by the ACUM bloc for the key state offices. Both the Democrats and the Socialists informed that negotiations must first be started and then the proposals should be discussed.
The spokesman for PDM, Vitalie Gamurari, said that the announcement made by the ACUM bloc today was somehow confused. “If they want to learn our position, they should come to talks and we will discuss. We have made them a lot of invitations; everything we have heard so far is that they do not want to discuss and they do not want offices. It is at least confused for people to see that some politicians, on the one hand, declare themselves in opposition and do not want to participate in negotiations, on the other hand, they want to be in power,” Gamurari noted.
PSRM leader Zinaida Grecianii also said that negotiations between parties must first begin and then discussions should be held on the acceptance or refusal of positions. Grecianii added that, according to European practices, the party with most mandates in parliament should come up with proposals on the holding of certain offices.
The ACUM political bloc today said that it was willing to assume the governance and informed that it would put up Maia Sandu for the office of prime minister and Andrei Nastase for the one of parliament speaker.
