Moldovan foreign affairs minister welcomes extension of Moldova- Ukraine relations

Chisinau, 26 March /MOLDPRES/ – By signing the Memorandum of Understanding between the Diplomatic Institute of MAEIE and the Diplomatic Academy "Hennadii Udovenko" of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine in the field of professional training and diplomacy of the diplomats, it was set the necessary legal basis which allowing organisation of joint activities for the benefit of Moldova and Ukraine. The statement was made by the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Tudor Ulianovschi, during a meeting with the director of the "Hennadii Udovenko" Diplomatic Academy, Sergiy Korsunsky, the MAEIE’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.

Minister Tudor Ulianovschi pointed out that by signing the Memorandum of Understanding between the Diplomatic Institute of MAEIE and the Diplomatic Institute of Ukraine "Hennadii Udovenko" there was another important step in the field of professional training and professional development of the national diplomatic personnel, establishing mutually beneficial partnerships in the sector given between the two states. "I am pleased to find that the Moldovan-Ukrainian relations are extending also to the diplomatic staff training," said Minister Tudor Ulianovschi.

At his turn, Sergiy Korsunsky welcomed the creation of the National Diplomatic Institute and noted that the signing of the Memorandum was an important step in establishing bilateral cooperation at both institutional and educational levels.

In Chisinau, Sergiy Korsunsky held a public lecture to the diplomatic corps of the MAEIE, entitled: "Energy Security in Europe: North Stream 2 and Turkish Stream".

The Memorandum of Understanding between the MAEIE Diplomatic Institute and the Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs "Hennadii Udovenko" was signed by the heads of the two institutions, Victor Tvircun and Sergiy Korsunsky, establishing partnerships for the professional training and development of diplomatic staff.

On 27 March, at 09:45, Sergiy Korsunsky will hold a public lecture at FRISPA of the USM, entitled "The geopolitics of the post-liberal world: a Ukrainian perspective."
