Moldovan sweet cherries producers can pay study visit to United States

Chisinau, 27 March /MOLDPRES/ - Producers of sweet cherries from Moldova can submit files to pay a visit to the United States, in order to study advanced technologies of production and post-harvesting of cherries. The contest was announced within the High Value Agriculture Activity in Moldova Project (HVAA) of the U.S. Agency for International Development (USAID). The files can be submitted till 4 April 2019.

The visit will take place in the American states Oregon and Washington on the period June-July 2019.

Producers already owning sweet cherry orchards, with the adoption of intensive production systems or consultants in the sector of production or post-harvesting of sweet cherries, can participate in the contest.

The HVAA project will cover the costs for the organization of the study visit and the transport ones and the participants will pay for getting the travel visa, health insurance, accommodation and daily fee.
