Four vehicles damaged in Moldovan capital, after roof pulled out by wind falls on them

Chisinau, 27 March /MOLDPRES/ – A man was stuck in a car and three other cars were damaged after a roof was snatched from a fuel station in Chisinau.
According to the General Inspectorate for Emergency Situations (IGSU) of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI), the rescuers were asked in the afternoon of today to intervene to unblock several vehicles over which the roof of a fuel station fell on boulevard Dacia in the capital.
Two crews of rescuers and firefighters came to the spot, who found that there were damaged four cars and a man was blocked in a car. The firefighters carried out the rescue work of the person inside the car and unlocked the other three vehicles.
According to the cited source, the roof of the fuel station was pulled from the strong wind. Following the incident, no one has suffered.
The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has announced today the Yellow Code for wind intensification. In this context, the rescuers recommend avoiding places where there are dry trees or high voltage electrical wires.
The weather will cool with the wind intensified. According to SHS data, the temperatures across Moldova will reach temperatures down to – 05ºC at night and up to 08 – 10ºC during the day. Also in the central and northern regions, there will be precipitations in the form of low snowfalls.
