Chisinau, 28 March /MOLDPRES/- A number of seven non-governmental organizations from the Republic of Moldova received grants worth 10,000 euros from the Austrian Development Agency (ADA). Money will be used to implement projects on environment, education and social affairs.
Alexander Karner, Head of the ADA Office, said that the annual grant program supports individual activities to back NGOs and national institutions in implementation of various initiatives across the country within one year. "We believe that especially small projects with clear activities carried out within a specific timeframe contribute to facilitating the dialogue between civil society, local authorities and government."
Austrian Ambassador to Moldova Christine Freilinger was pleased with the large number of NGOs that applied to the program.
For 2019, the ADA increased its contribution and will finance 8 projects worth 80,000 euros.
