Route mini-buses from Moldovan capital to undergo technical testing

Chisinau, 28 March /MOLDPRES/ – The passenger route – vans will be subjected to technical testing. The transport units which do not support the testing will no longer be able to continue their activity.

The first test phase starts on 01 April and will last for 2 weeks. During this period, it will be checked the technical condition of the minibuses, interior and exterior aesthetics, including their equipment, at the testing stations in Chisinau municipality, according to the provisions of the Vehicle testing rules (RTA).

The Chisinau city hall has announced that after the technical revision has been completed, the Public transport and communications directorate (DTPCC) has the right to prohibit using the minibuses which did not support the technical testing within the set deadline and to withdraw the right to provide passenger transport services to the carriers that did not attend technical test or did not pass the exam.

Currently, about 1,050 minibuses circulate in Chisinau municipality.
