Ukraine supplemented number of permits for Moldovan carriers

Chisinau, 29 March /MOLDPRES/- Moldova and Ukraine have decided to modify the quota of permits for the road freight transport for 2019 with 30 thousand permits, which is a 66% increase. The decision was made following a meeting of the Moldovan-Ukrainian Joint Committee on International Road Transport which took place yesterday in Kiev, Ukraine.
At the same time, the parties have set a preliminary quota of 60,000 permits for road freight transport for 2020.
Also, following the negotiations, the share of authorizations for passenger transportation by irregular services set for 2019 was supplemented by 500 authorizations, with a 30% increase. Thus, the parties set a preliminary quota for 2020 of 2,200 authorizations.
The Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure announced that the two states also agreed to abolish the moratorium on the opening of regular services to / from Kiev and Odessa to / from Moldova on 1 January 2020. The sides also decided to cancel from 1 June 2019 the provisions on the opening of regular services without parity.
