Chisinau acting mayor requested resignation of Central Market, Architecture Department leadership

Chisinau, 1 April /MOLDPRES/- Acting mayor of Chisinau announced today he will sign an order on dismissing the leadership of the Central Market in Chisinau. At the same time, he requested the resignation of chief architect Sergiu Borozan.

Ruslan Codreanu said he has been informed several times that informal taxes are collected at the Central Market. "We had a discussion with economic agents in the Central Market this morning after last week we received a petition. There is only one rule: everyone is equal and everyone is within the legal framework. Unless we see that there is no desire to do things according to the legal framework - we go with the fines," he said.

The mayor also showed dissatisfaction with the work of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning and said he would demand the resignation of Sergiu Borozan.

Sergiu Borozan was appointed head of the Department of Architecture, Urbanism and Land Relations in 2017.
