Over 1.8 billion lei collected by customs service in March

Chisinau, 1 April /MOLDPRES/- The revenue collected by the Customs Service to the state budget in March increased by 9% compared to the same period last year and reached 1.84 billion lei.
At the same time, during the first three months of this year, the Customs Service collected 4.59 billion lei to the state budget, exceeding by 208.7 million lei the receipts for the same period of the previous year.
Last month, 799 violations of customs legislation were reported. The most common violations refer to the exceeding period of stay in Moldova of cars with foreign registration plates, violation of the transit or customs declaration deadlines, non-authentic declaration of the consumer goods.
At the same time, 415 reports on offense were made and fines amounting to over 6.6 million lei were imposed.
In March, the flow of transport units was 357 thousand crossings. The highest traffic values were registered at the Moldovan-Romanian border, and the most transited customs posts remain Leuşeni and Sculeni.
