Chisinau, 1 April /MOLDPRES/ - The ACUM bloc will not participate in any kind of consultations with the present leadership of Moldova’s Democratic Party (PDM). The leader of the Dignity and Truth Platform Party, (PPDA), Andrei Nastase, made statements to this effect at a news conference today.
According to Nastase, the announcing by the chairman of the parliament’s foundation meeting of a break for an indefinite period, followed by the initiation by President Igor Dodon of a “tripartite” meeting for 2 April, “triggers uncertainties and leaves room for interpretations.”
Nastase added that the ACUM bloc launched for the MPs an invitation to transparent discussions on 2 April 2019.
Head of state Igor Dodon has earlier called on the leaders of the biggest parliamentary formations (Party of Socialists, PDM, ACUM bloc) to a joint discussion, in order to create an eventual ruling coalition. The trilateral consultations are scheduled to take place at the State Residence at 12:00.
