Persons with physical problem to have easier access to artworks in Moldova

Chisinau, 02 April /MOLDPRES/ – The persons with visual impairments will have easier access to cultural and artworks. It was discussed today during a training session organised at the National Museum of Ethnography and Natural History (MNEIN).
In this regard, the good practice models from Poland, Slovakia, Czech Republic, Ukraine, Georgia and Moldova were presented during the event.
Interviewed by agency, the head of host institution, Petru Vicol, has said the event is organised within a project managed by several NGOs in Moldova and abroad: HumanDoc Foundation in Poland, National Association for Info and Rehabilitation of the Association of the Blind Moldova, INFONET Alliance in Moldova, etc. "This project seeks to highlight a problem – the access of people with special needs to cultural institutions. The training lasted five days. The participants were at the Botanical and Zoo Gardens, trying to find out what we managed to do in creating the conditions to ensure the access of those persons," said Petru Vicol.
There are over 9,000 persons with visual impairments in Moldova.
