Moldovan deputy premier meets head of Council of Europe Office in Chisinau

Chisinau, 3 April /MOLDPRES/- Deputy Prime Minister for Reintegration Cristina Lesnic had a meeting yesterday with William Massolin, head of the Council of Europe Office in Chisinau, the Bureau for Reintegration has reported.

An important issue on the agenda was related to the activities of the confidence-building package on both banks of the Dniester, underlining the need to observe the continuity and visibility of the actions to achieve the expected results.

Some issues on the current situation in the Transnistrian conflict settlement have been reviewed.

The official informed about a possible visit to Moldova by Mrs Anna Capello, head of the Council of Europe confidence-building measures department, at the end of the second quarter of this year.

In this context, the sides agreed to continue discussions in a follow-up meeting to address other details on the Reintegration Bureau portfolio.
