Moldovan foreign affairs minister says Chinese investments in Moldova represent advanced level of ties between two countries

Chisinau, 3 April /MOLDPRES/ - The deep relations in diverse sectors between Moldova and China, the economic and diplomatic actions underway and the ones due to be undertaken, prospects for the development of the bilateral commercial an economic ties, investment climate from Moldova have been discussed by Foreign Affairs and European Integration Minister Tudor Ulianovschi and a delegation of business people, representatives of the biggest companies from China, the Foreign Affairs and European Integration Ministry’s press service has reported.
At the meeting, Minister Tudor Ulianovschi voiced appreciation for the Chinese delegation’s interest in Moldova. He stressed that this important visit showed the high level of the Moldovan-Chinese relations, as well as an advanced inter-governmental partnership between the two countries. As for the national programme of China, One Belt, One Road, Minister Ulianovschi highlighted that its implementation would contribute to the development of mutually advantageous interstate trade and economic relations. Referring to the investment component of the bilateral relations, the Moldovan diplomacy head pointed out that “the huge potential of cooperation between the two countries is also confirmed by the cases of success of foreign investors and I mean here those 86 Chinese companies working in Moldova, including on the territory of Free Economic Zones.”
On 2-4 April 2019, a delegation made up of 12 biggest companies from China is on a visit to Moldova, including in order to participate in the Moldova – China Business Forum and a B2B session with representatives of Moldova’s business environment.
The sectors of interest discussed regard the pharmaceutical industry and bio-medicine, artificial intelligence and linguistic technologies, heavy equipment industry and production of industrial machines and new energy sources, tourism, etc.
