More kindergartens to be reopened in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 8 April /MOLDPRES/- More kindergartens will be reopened this year in the capital. The head of the department for education, culture, youth and sport, Rodica Gutu, made the statement today at the weekly meeting of the city hall.

These institutions have been used so far with another destination, and their reopening will allow the creation of 50 new children groups with a capacity of 1,500 seats. Thus, 43 million lei are provided in 2019.

Another 14 groups of children, with a capacity of 420 seats, will be created in kindergartens working in the capital.

Acting mayor of Chisinau Ruslan Codreanu said that it is important to monitor the kindergarten repairs so that they are quality and timely, and the institutions can start work on 1 September 2019.

According to data, about 160 pre-school education institutions, attended by almost 38 thousand children, are operating in Chisinau since the beginning of the study year.
