Chisinau, 9 April /MOLDPRES/ - A project on the development of business infrastructure through the connection of several settlements of the region to the national roads’ network is in full implementation in southern Moldova.
The project started in autumn in 2017 and 3.1 km of road has been constructed within the project between the settlements Hartop and Mereni so far. Also, a segment of 2.02 km of road from the corridor 20-RD South, R-34-Sarma-Tomai-Sarateni-Hartop-R3, was restored.
At present, the entrepreneur nominated by tender carries out works of construction and arrangement of the pavement on both sides of the road and the entrances in yards. “Subsequently, decision-makers will start asphalting works on a length of 4 km within the settlement’s limit and on a length of 1.5 km outside the settlement. In the end, workers will set road signs and will arrange the turf,” sources of the South Regional Development Agency (ADR Sud) have said.
The project, Development of the business infrastructure through connection of settlements and local roads on the corridor 20-RD Sud, R34-Sarma-Tomai-Sarateni-Hartop, to the network of national roads, is estimated at 38 million lei and is implemented by ADR Sud with sources of the National Regional Development Fund (FNDR). The programme is to be completed this year.
Over 17 million lei was allocated from FNDR for the completion of this project, under a decision by the National Council for Regional Development Coordination.
“This is an investment project, which is set to ensure a sustainable connection between the settlements with advanced economic potential from the South Development Region. In this way, decision-makers will contribute to the economic development of these settlements, which will have a positive impact on the investments flows in the region,” decision-takers of the South Regional Development Agency said.
