Cula sub-region from western Moldova district to benefit from grants on behalf of Estonia

Chisinau, 9 April /MOLDPRES/ - The Local Action Group (GAL) Cula Sub-region from the western Ungheni district launched the first appeal of mini-grants in 2019. Applications can be submitted till 10 May.
The programme has a budget of 390,000 lei and is supported by the government of Estonia and non-governmental organizations from Moldova and Estonia.
”The programme of mini-grants within GAL Cula Sub-region has the goal to help turn to good account and promote the social and economic potential of the zone, with the wide participation of its members,” a press release by the Group reads.
The programme will encourage projects on the development of local tourist destinations, support and development of entrepreneurship based on local resources, authentic products, as well as the development and promotion of local brands.
The programme of mini-grants 2019 within GAL Cula Sub-region is financially backed by representatives of GAL Pärnu Bay Partnership (PLPK), GAL “Tartu Rural Development Association (TAS) – Estonia and the Viitorul Institute for Development and Social Institutions, within a project financed from Development Cooperation and Humanitarian Aid Funds of Estonia’s Foreign Affairs Ministry.
Enterprises from the sub-region, local public administrations of the first degree, organizations of the associative sector, etc. will benefit from grants.
GAL Cula Sub-region is the first local action group from the Ungheni district; it was registered in 2018 and includes 18 settlements from the zone, among which Cornesti, Cornova, Magurele, Napadenii Vechi, Tescureni, etc. The Cula River Valley (Cula river) is a picturesque place in the region, which has become emblematic for the Ungheni district.
