Chisinau, 09 April /MOLDPRES/ – The Central Electoral Commission (CEC) found violations of the provisions of the Electoral Code regarding the issue of financing of electoral campaign for the parliamentary elections of 24 February 2019 by the Political Party Shor.
According to the CEC's press service, the political party Shor, having the status of an electoral competitor during the parliamentary elections of 24 February 2019, has received a total of MDL 2,090,000 as donations for the electoral campaign by some economic agents which, during one year prior the beginning of electoral period, carried out activities financed or paid out of public funds, thus violating the provisions of electoral legislation.

Also, CEC has announced that it would notify the General Prosecution Office (PG) on false info indicated in statement of ownership on the non-existence of state share, foreign or mixed in share capital, as well as on the lack of restrictions provided by the Regulation on the financing of electoral campaigns, submitted by more economic agents.
