Chisinau, 11 April /MOLDPRES/- Regulation on organization and operation of the free phone support service for people with special needs will be published in the Official Journal of Moldova on 12 April.

Under the document, by calling the free phone number, people with special needs will receive informational support, counseling, will be able to report suspected cases of rights violation or risk situations.

The service will have a free phone number that will be available non-stop, with simultaneous access in the country and abroad. The cost of internal calls is borne by the service provider and the external ones - caller. Service can also be contacted through WhatsApp, Viber, Skype, or SMS.

Consultancy services will be offered by a supplier contracted by the Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection.

For the activity of the service, more than 963 thousand lei are provided in the state budget for 2019. Free phone support service for people with disabilities "hotline - 080010808" was released in January 2017 as part of a pilot project funded by the EU and civil society.
