Easter financial aid worth MDL 600 available in Moldova

Chisinau, 11 April /MOLDPRES/ – Starting 12 April, the beneficiaries of pensions and allowances not exceeding MDL 2,000, can raise the unique financial aid of MDL 600 offered by authorities before the Easter holidays., Over 630,000 citizens benefited of similar support before the New Year, and Prime Minister, Pavel Filip, said that this kind of help would be permanent.

The National House of Social Insurance (CNAS) has announced today that 612.8 thousand people will benefit from state aid on Easter holidays. Most of beneficiaries, about 400,000, are retired, while others receive disability pensions, survivors' pensions, or state social allowances. The expenditures for the granting of unique support are covered from the transfers from the state budget (BS) to the state social insurance budget amounting MDL 367.9 million.

In order to pay the unique support, the CNAS transferred the funds to the payment service providers designated by the beneficiaries.

A unique support of MDL 600 was granted for the same categories of people on the eve of winter holidays.

At the beginning of the current week, PM Pavel Filip presented a package of social initiatives: The social package for Moldova. In this package of initiatives, the PDM proposed to grant MDL 600 constantly before the Easter and winter holidays, increase the single childbirth allowance from MDL 6,303 to MDL 10,000, allocate monthly payments of MDL 200 for underage children and double the compensation for usage of central heating system.
