Best Moldovan medical employees receive trophies at Health Prizes Gala

Chisinau, 12 April /MOLDPRES/ - The 12 winners of the sixth issue of the Health Prizes Gala have taken their trophies at a festive ceremony held in Chisinau on 11 April evening.  

A PhD in medical sciences, head of the family medicine department at the Nicolae Testemitanu State University of Medicine and Pharmacy (USMF Nicolae Testemitanu), Grigore Bivol, has won the prize for the entire medical career. The best team of family physician was nominated the one of physician Elena Neaga, Pepeni health centre, Balasesti commune, northern Sangerei district. The trophy for the best team of medical assistants went to the National Blood Transfusion Centre. The Straseni Emergency Medical Assistance Sub-station was nominated the best emergency team.    

Director General of the National Health Insurances Company (CNAM) Tamara Andrusca handed over the trophy for the best hospital section. The prize was awarded to the micro-surgery section of the Emergency Medicine Institute.   

Sergiu Negritu (CNAM) and Angela Voronin (Finance Ministry) were awarded prizes at the category, The best team in the promotion of the system of mandatory health insurance.

The most successful work in the public health sector was declared the one of the Unit of Coordination of the National Programme on Control and Prevention of HIV/AIDS Infection and ITS of the Municipal Public Health Enterprise Hospital of Dermatology and Communicable Diseases. The prize for the best management of medical institution went to Valeri Savciuc from the Forensic Medicine Centre.    

The section of reanimation and intensive therapy of newly born children of the Mother and Child Institute was awarded prize for innovation and performance in medicine. A PhD in medicine of the molecular biology and human genetics department at USMF Nicolae Testemitanu, Natalia Cherdivarenco, received the trophy for performance in the teaching activity.  

The most active NGO in the health field has become the Prodiab Association of People Sick with Diabetes and Ana Bejenaru got the trophy for journalism in health. 

The Health Prizes Gala 2019 brought together about 400 guests. The event’s organizers are the Health Ministry, World Health Organization, CNAM and the Centre for Health Information and Communication.
