Authorities to hold spring agricultural fair in Chisinau

Chisinau, 12 April /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Agriculture, Regional Development and Environment in collaboration with Rascani praetor’s office in Chisinau launch a number of spring agricultural fairs.

The fairs will be open every Saturday, starting 13 April on Miron Costin Street in Râşcani district, in the area of the Memorial Complex in memory of soldiers killed in the war in Afghanistan.

All farmers are invited to participate in the fair. They are required to hold a certificate from the city hall confirming that they are agricultural producers, or an act of registration as a farmhouse.

"The aim of these fairs is to ease the situation of domestic producers, giving them the opportunity to sell their goods directly. At the same time, the inhabitants of the capital will be able to buy fruits and vegetables at an affordable price, "sources in the Ministry of Agriculture said.

Fairs will be open from 9:00 until late at night.

The practice of the agricultural fair in Chisinau started in autumn last year, when the ministry jointly with local authorities organized agricultural fairs in different sectors of the capital during the season, where they offered free of charge marketing places to local producers.
