New technical meeting of experts on social, humanitarian assistance issues held in Bender

Chisinau, 12 April /MOLDPRES/ - Specialists of the working groups for social and humanitarian assistance issues today assembled at a new meeting at the Bender-based headquarters of the OSCE Mission. The experts’ goal was to continue discussions on aspects dealing with the procedure of adopting children and emphasized the consideration of a case of a concrete family which faced certain difficulties to establish a legal form of child’s protection, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
According to the agreements reached by the sides at the meeting held on 3 April 2019, the Moldovan side presented the algorithm and aspects needed to be taken into consideration, in order to continue the procedure in line with the national provisions, international standards and stipulations of the United Nations Convention on the Rights of the Child.
In the context of the dialogue held, the parties agreed that the Transnistrian side will consider the proposals made and will set forth its stance in this respect.
The terms of the organization of the next meeting will be established in working regime.
