Moldovan pupils won prizes at international music contest

Chisinau, 15 April /MOLDPRES/- Four Moldovan pupils have won prizes at the prestigious International Contest for Musical Performance Whitgift, which took place in London on 8-11 April.
According to the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research, the first prize was won by Roman Miteoglo (clarinet), Dumitru Isac (trombone) and Ştefan-Gabriel Luţă (violin).
The pupils are studying at the Ciprian Porumbescu music school and Serghei Rahmaninov school.
The event is organized by Whitgift School in London, one of the UK's best-performing academic, sports and arts schools, founded in 1596. Only boys can participate in the competition in three age categories: 12-13 years, 14-15 years and 16-17 years.
