Sanitation project completed in Causeni

Chisinau, 15 April /MOLDPRES/- South Regional Development Agency (ADR South) has completed the investment project, Construction of sewerage system in Valul lui Traian sector and modernization of the sewage treatment plant in Causeni (stage I). A reception committee has recently checked the execution of the works and found them to be in accordance with the rules.

This project included, at the first stage, the construction of a sewerage system with a length of 8.9 km in the nominated sector. For this, about 8.4 million lei were spent, 1.5 million lei being from Causeni district budget.

In 2019, the modernization works for the sewage treatment plant in Căuşeni will be launched. The estimated budget is 54 million lei. For 2019, the National Regional Development Fund earmarked seven million lei and Causeni district council - five million lei.

"The successful implementation of this project will ensure access to sewerage services for 2,000 citizens living in Valul lui Traian sector in Causeni. At the same time, 17,000 inhabitants of the district will benefit from a cleaner environment, due to the wastewater treatment," sources in ADR South say.
