Moldova can participate in contest for EU Sustainable Energy Award for first time

Chisinau, 15 April /MOLDPRES/- Moldovan citizens can apply for the European Union Sustainable Energy Award of the Eastern Partnership, part of the EU Sustainable Energy Week 2019 (EUSEW). It was extended for the first time to Armenia, Azerbaijan, Belarus, Georgia, Moldova and Ukraine, and documents can be submitted by 26 April.
The award recognizes inspirational projects supported by the EU in the energy efficiency and renewable energy, which directly help citizens and communities to save energy or switch to sustainable sources.
Applications are open to citizens, businesses, government institutions, local authorities, civil society organizations and youth organizations in one or more Eastern Partnership countries.
As a result, six finalists, selected by a jury, will be invited to Brussels to attend the EUSEW2019 award ceremony and the EUSEW events on 18-20 June.
