Chisinau, 16 April /MOLDPRES/- For the first time, 20 educators from Gagauzia have been trained to react when they find that there are cases of violence in the children's families. Teaching staff have learned to take action once detected signs of danger and notify the authorities.
In Chirsova village, there are two kindergartens with a total contingent of about 400 children. So far, none of the over 20 educators working here have received training to prevent violence.
The trainings were conducted under the project "Combating violence against women in Moldova: exploring and learning from local solutions", implemented by UNDP with the support of the Republic of Korea. Through the project, women in the region will be able to benefit from counseling psychologists, social workers and lawyers. At the same time, they will be helped find a job or start a business.
