Six more new coaches to circulate in Moldovan capital

Chisinau, 16 April /MOLDPRES/ – The rest six new coaches out of a total of 31 units purchased by the Moldovan authorities in February 2019 reached Chisinau municipality. The vehicles are subject to technical checks, and will be registered subsequently and distributed on municipal routes.

According to the Chisinau city hall’s information and media communication service, the 6 new coaches got into possession of the Urban Bus Park within 60 days of contract signing, which took place in February 2019.

The new buses are model ISUZU Citiport and have a 2 – year warranty. They are 12 metres long and have 3 doors, low floor, access ramps and wheelchair area, accessible to persons with special needs, elderly and parents with children in buggies. The units also have air conditioning and audio and video info equipment.

For purchase of 31 buses, it was allocated MDL 78 million from municipal budget, the price of a bus being €130 thousand (MDL 2.6 million). The first 25 units have been on the streets of Chisinau municipality since February 2019.
