More IT teachers get scholarships of MDL 25,000 in Moldova

Chisinau, 17 April /MOLDPRES/ – Twenty five IT teachers from Moldova have received scholarships worth MDL 25,000 each. The finalists have been awarded in Chisinau municipality today.

The winners of the Excellence scholarship for IT teachers, 4th issue, will also receive a notebook. There participated 40 computer science teachers in the contest in 2019.

The State Secretary of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC), Angela Cutasevici, has stated at the awards ceremony the programme being an extremely important financial and logistic support to assist digital education in Moldova, helping to encourage young IT teachers, in rural areas.

By now, there have benefited 70 other teachers from the programme. Overall, the finalists of the four editions train about 46,000 pupils.

The programme of Excellence scholarships for IT teachers is implemented by the University Info Centre, by financial support of a foundation in Chisinau, in partnership with MECC.
