At a press conference, deputy head of PCCOCS, Vitalie Busuioc, has announced that one of the detained persons is an employee of the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) and a head of section at the Public Services Agency (ASP). The two have set up a mechanism for falsifying acts and organising illegal migration.

According to cited source, following searches, including ASP, were detected and lifted nearly 100 fake papers, which were manufactured in a clandestine lab, using the ASP services. Busuioc specified that the group members were selling biometric passports of Moldova for €2,500 and driving licences for €400. In addition to false documents, law enforcement officials raised €30,000 introduced illegally into Moldova and more weapons and ammunition.

According to PCCOCS's data, the four groups included citizens from the left bank of the Dniester, some of them being announced in international search. The suspects worked on the territory of several states, including Ukraine, Germany and Czech Republic.

Some of the detained persons have recognised their blame and cooperate with law enforcement.
