Moldovan medical institutions to operate as usual during Easter holidays

Chisinau, 22 April /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Health, Labor and Social Protection today approved the work schedule of medical institutions during the Easter holidays and announced that all institutions will work as usual, ensuring increased vigilance in providing full medical assistance to the people.

During this period, the administration of each institution will nominate administration staff on duty and responsible people within the institutional management, through a complementary work schedule during Easter holidays.

At the same time, the necessary reserves of medicines, supplies and foodstuffs will be provided for the uninterrupted work of medical institutions in those days.

The National Public Health Agency will ensure supervision of compliance with sanitary-epidemic regime of public objectives, with a high risk of poisoning and toxico-food diseases during the period. Also, it will take measures to prevent outbreaks of infectious diseases.

The National Blood Transfusion Centre will provide medical institutions with blood products, and the Forensic Medicine Centre will provide forensic care assistance on a regular basis.
