Local authorities to present infrastructure rehabilitation plans for 2019

Chisinau, 23 April /MOLDPRES/- The Ministry of Economy and Infrastructure requested local public authorities level II to provide information on the use of 2018 road fund assets and infrastructure rehabilitation plans for 2019.

“It is very important to have cooperation between local and central public authorities. We need to work efficiently in a team to create good conditions and a modern infrastructure for the citizens of our country," Economy and Infrastructure Minister Chiril Gaburici said.

Also, the Ministry of Economy urged the local authorities to communicate about the impediments encountered in the rehabilitation of local public roads of national interest, as well as the actions that have been taken to solve them. The information will be examined in the Road Council.

In 2018, 1,600 km of roads were built. For 2019, under the National Programme Good roads 2 for Moldova the rehabilitation of another 2,600 km of road is planned.
