All customs posts to operate without interruption during Easter holidays

Chisinau, 24 April /MOLDPRES/- All internal customs posts will operate without interruption throughout Easter holidays and on 1 May and 9 May. At the same time, they will expand their activity schedule by another two or three hours, depending on the number of transactions. The indication was given by Customs Director Vitalie Vrabie at a meeting with heads of customs offices.

The Customs Service will take a lot of measures to streamline cross-border traffic. These include filling staff and verification equipment, use of all control lanes, including those for the diplomats or the opposite crossing, as well as involvement of customs heads and their deputies in customs control.

The actions have been agreed with the Border Police and the partner institutions in Romania and Ukraine, so that control formalities flow faster on both sides of the border.

At the same time, the activity of the mobile teams, which ensures the second line of control throughout the country, will also be intensified, so as not to allow frauds that could harm the state budget.
