Chisinau, 26 April /MOLDPRES/ - A meeting of the Joint Control Commission (JCC) from 25 April was marked by two important aspects, the Reintegration Policies Bureau has reported.
On the one hand, the delegations’ members inspected the joint peacekeeping posts No 6 and 8 in terms of their preparation for carrying out the services on the spring-summer period. They verified including the capacities of leadership of the posts’ chiefs, state of work of the armoured vehicles and the communication system, as well as the logistic supply. Following control on the spot, the delegations’ members found out that the posts were fit for the efficient fulfillment of the task.
At the meeting, Moldova’s delegation brought to discussion also the issue of more cases of placement of mobile patrols of Transnistrian “border guards” in the Security Zone, which actually prompted the non-approval of reports worked out by the mission’s military component. The sides failed to reach consensus on the concerned aspect.
The participants in the meeting approved the report of the Joint Military Command on the situation in the Security Zone for the period 17-23 2019.
The next meeting of the Joint Control Commission will take place on 16 May 2019.
