Chisinau, 26 April /MOLDPRES/ - Representatives of the business environment, enterprise Railway of Moldova (CFM), Agriculture and Economics Ministries are to analyze possibility of endowing the railway stations with equipments for the depositing and shipment of cereal products. The subject was discussed at consultations on optimizing the cooperation between the producers of cereal goods and CFM.

Thus, representatives of the companies benefiting from railway freight transport for cereal products informed about a string of proposals to increase the volume of goods exported to the European Union and sea ports of Ukraine. At the same time, they made objections as to the quality of services provided by CFM.

In this context, producers asked for possibility to arrange spaces for the loading of railway carriages with cereals in the western Ungheni city. The CFM director general, Iurii Topala, said that railway carriages with European gauge can be loaded/unloaded at the Beresti station, without hitting the wheels’ shifting. “The station is equipped with developed infrastructure and allows the processing of a large quality of goods. Respectively, the export of goods to European Union states by railway should not be excluded from the logistic chain,” Iurii Topala noted.

At the same time, representatives of the business environment stressed that the corporate policy of CFM was to be adjusted to the market rules. “The business environment dictates the game rules and it is necessary to pay attention to their suggestions. Otherwise, CFM will lose the clients. If economic agents demand support, the enterprise must be open for this,” the secretary general at the Economics and Infrastructure Ministry, Serghei Bucataru, said.
