Chisinau, 26 July /MOLDPRES/ - The specialty staff from the district and local museums will be employed by contest. The latter will be held by the institutions’ leadership. The provision is contained in a draft law adopted by the parliament in two readings at a meeting today.
The draft sees amendments to the law on museums and was put up by a group of MPs of the commission for culture, education, research, youth, sport and mass media. According to the authors, the amendments will simplify the procedure of employment of specialty staff in the museum institutions.
So far, the specialty staff of the district museums has been employed by the second-level local public administration authority and the one from the local museums – by the first-level local public administration authority.
The initiative’s authors say that this procedure is difficult and excludes the museum’s administration from the decision-making process on the employment of the specialty staff. This might lead to the appearance of various difficulties, procrastinations in the work of the museum institutions and can trigger contradictions in the institution’s management, as the staff is not subordinated to the director, who has no capacity of employer, the informative note of the legislative initiative reads.
