Several Moldovan – Ukrainian border crossing points register Increased flow of cars

Chisinau, 10 August /MOLDPRES/ – Several border crossing points have registered an increased flow of transport units, and as a result, traffic becomes cumbersome and the waiting time increases.
According to Border Police's (PF) information and media communication service, on 10 August morning, the waiting time at the crossing point Palanca started to increase at 05:30, exceeding 30 minutes. On the way out of Moldova, it has been formed a column of about 40 vehicles.
The four border and customs authorities in Moldova and Ukraine operate at maximum capacity, with the number of employees being supplemented, all control tracks opened, including flow exchange – a lane on the way to Moldova used for exit.
According to the quoted source, intensive traffic is attested at the Criva crossing point, on the way out of Moldova, being recorded around 40 cars. The waiting time for crossing the border reaches 60 minutes.
It is also a difficult traffic through the Mirnoe crossing point. Estimatedly, the increased flow will be maintained all morning.
In the context of created situation, when many of the citizens decide to go abroad, PF recommends that travellers diversify the choice of crossing points.
In recent 24 hours, at the crossing points, the flow of people constituted 72,316 crossings, out of which a greater number of crossings – 38,239, was recorded on the way out of Moldova. The most attended crossing points were Leuseni and the Chisinau International Airport (AIC).
