Intensive traffic registered at some border crossing points of Moldova

Chisinau, 24 August /MOLDPRES/ – At 03 border crossing points it was registered in the morning of Saturday, 24 August, an increased flow of transport units, and as a result, the waiting time increased and the traffic became cumbersome.
According to the Border Police's (PF) data, starting 03:30, on the way out of Moldova, the waiting time began to increase at the common crossing point Palanca. Towards 08:30, there preserved an intensive traffic and a continuous flow of vehicles.
Also, an intensive traffic is at the Tudora crossing point. The queue formed at the entrance to Ukraine, from the Ukrainian crossing point Starokazacie, extends on the Moldovan side. Thus, circulation through this PTF is cumbersome.
At the Criva – Mamaliga crossing point, about 100 means of transport have formed a queue to leave Moldova. The number of employees was supplemented at the control line, but also the border police from the Northern Regional Department (DRN) has intervened for assistance. At present, the line has been reduced to 30 cars and the waiting time does not exceed 30 minutes.
The officials have announced that in upcoming days, the border control activities will be supplemented at the border, and the border guards will activate at full capacity, as it is expected that at some crossing points, it will increase the number of crossings.
Similarly, the Customs Service (SV) has stated that in the four – day minivacation offered to the budget employees before the Independence Day (ZI), all customs posts will operate without interruptions, while at the same time providing the most border crossing posts with additional staff, in order to manage quickly the large flow of passengers.
