Starting agricultural producers can apply for advance state subsidies in Moldova

Chisinau, 24 August /MOLDPRES/ – The agricultural producers wishing to launch a business in agricultural field can apply for state subsidies, in the framework of IVth call for applications, launched by the Agency for Intervention and Payments for Agriculture (AIPA). The documents will be received starting Monday, on 02 September – 22 November.

The state support for launching new businesses constitutes 65 per cent of project value which will not exceed MDL 01 million. The subsidies in advance will be granted only on the basis of investment projects submitted by agricultural producers, which will carry out firstly an economic activity in agrifood sector.

Applicants will be able to benefit from subsidies for the use and renovation of livestock farms, procurement of livestock animals, development of post – harvest and processing infrastructure, production of vegetables and fruits on protected land, establishment, modernisation and deforestation of multiannual plantations.

Previously, there were made 03 other calls for granting advance grants. As a result, there have been selected and evaluated 62 investment projects for financing. The contribution of the state for their development is over MDL 33.4 million.

This year, for the subsidies in advance, it was allocated the amount of MDL 45 million from the National Fund for development of agriculture and rural environment, the value of which is MDL 900 million /over €45 million/.
