PAS, PPDA to have common candidates in new local, parliamentary elections on 20 October in Moldova

Chisinau, 26 August /MOLDPRES/ – The Dignity and Truth Platform party (PPDA) will participate in the general local elections (ALG) and partial parliamentary elections (AP) on 20 October 2019 in the Electoral block with the Party of Action and Solidarity (PAS). The decision was taken at the extraordinary meeting of the National political council (CPN) of PPDA, which was held on Sunday, 25 August, in Chisinau municipality.

After the meeting, the leader of PPDA, Andrei Nastase, announced that the process of identifying common candidates for ALG and AP, scheduled on 20 October 2019. Also, it will be submitted soon the necessary documents for registration of Electoral block Acum to the institutions with attributions in organising the elections in autumn 2019.

On 25 March 2019, the PPDA and PAS signed a post – electoral agreement of Political block Acum, Platform DA and PAS, by which the formations assumed, in particular, commitment to participate in ALG in 2019 within Electoral block Acum, Platform DA and PAS.

The ALG will be held on 20 October 2019. Within them, there will be elected 898 mayors and 11,580 local councilors. On similar day, it will be held 04 AP in 04 constituencies.
