Chisinau, 26 August /MOLDPRES/ – The State Hydrometeorological Service (SHS) has extended until Thursday, 29 August, the Yellow Code (CG) of hot weather condition.
According to meteorologists, in this period, on extended areas, maximum air temperature will reach 33ºC. At night, thermometres will indicate 21ºC. Also, the last week of summer seems to be with no rainfalls.
Also, it has remained in force CG of hydrological drought. The hydrologists report drought in the rivers and lakes of Moldova due to lack of precipitation and high temperatures. "We ask economic agents and population to consume the water resources rationally", states SHS.
This summer, with the issuance of CG of heat, the authorities have installed tents throughout Moldova, where people affected by hot weather can receive the necessary care. Similarly, doctors warn, especially elderly, pregnant women, patients with cardiovascular disease, respiratory tract and allergies to exercise caution and avoid sun exposure.
