Moldovan parliament hosts DOR Program participants

Chisinau, 27 August /MOLDPRES/- The Parliament hosted, on the Independence Day of the Republic of Moldova, the visit of the 120 children and young people, participants in the DOR Program – Diaspora, Origins, Returns. The children were greeted by Speaker, discussed with MPs and had a guided tour of the building, the parliament’s communication and public relations department has reported.
"Welcome back home, the place where your parents left for the world and where we hope you will return if you wish. The country is waiting for you, wherever you are now! ” Greceanîi said.
At the same time, the speaker wished the children new successes and forces to contribute, together with their parents, to the modernization of the country.
Later, the young people discussed with MPs Dumitru Alaiba and Alexandru Slusari, who told them that they will always be expected and welcomed in the Republic of Moldova.
It is the third year in a row, when Parliament hosts the DOR Program, organized annually, in August. This year, the DOR Program is carried out on August 19-28 and brings together 120 children from 22 countries. The purpose of the camp is to provide the opportunity for children and young people from the diaspora to visit their country of origin, to know the national values and traditions, to make friends.
