Next actions on European integration agenda discussed at foreign ministry of Moldova

Chisinau, 29 August /MOLDPRES/ – The preparations for the meeting of the Association Council of Moldova – EU, as well as the assistance provided by the EU in the process of implementing the Association Agreement and the reforms related to it, were discussed on Thursday, 29 August, at the meeting of the Minister of Foreign Affairs and European Integration, Nicu Popescu, with the head of EU delegation in Chisinau, Peter Michalko, the MAEIE’s public diplomacy, strategic communication and media interaction service has reported.
During the discussion, Nicu Popescu has noted that the meeting of the Association Council of Moldova – EU represents the most important event in the diplomatic calendar of Moldova, and it will be the first after the return of Moldova on the path of normality in relations with EU.
The event will draw the first conclusions about the achievements in the European course of Moldova since it returned to a full and intense dialogue with Brussels. "By implementing our commitments towards EU and our own citizens, we want to build Europe at home by building some state institutions, schools, universities and European roads," said Minister Popescu.
The interlocutors have also noted that the relationship between Chisinau and Brussels is gaining increasing intensity, which will bring concrete benefits to Moldovan citizens.
