Chisinau, 30 August /MOLDPRES/ – The new year of studies will begin in all general education institutions in Moldova on Monday, 02 September. This year, the school administrations will have the opportunity to decide individually what activities they will organise during the First bell.

These ones can be organised in the form of a traditional official opening events, classroom activities or innovative activities. According to a provision of the Ministry of Education, Culture and Research (MECC), if the schools decide to organise them, then they will not have to exceed 45 minutes to avoid the cases of sunstroke. Also, the Ministry said that in the activities organised on the occasion of the First bell "it will be admitted no political interference and speeches".

"First lesson. We are sure that the freedom to decide will bring hundreds of models of didactic projects that could then be shared with all those interested. A simple example: in each locality there are people who participated in the Great National Assembly (MAN), who lived those moments. Why are not they the guests of the pupils in Ist lesson, an oral history lesson? This is just one idea. There may be countless other ideas. Creativity in approach, motivation for learning, highlighting collaboration for success – these and any other topics are more than welcome for the beginning of the school year. The enhancement and inspiration, dear class masters!”, wrote the Minister of Education, Culture and Research, Liliana Nicolaescu – Onofrei on her official page on a social network.

In Moldova, there are over 1,200 primary and secondary general education institutions.
