Public institution IT and Cyber Security Service to be reorganised by merger with MoldData

Chisinau, 30 August /MOLDPRES/ – The public institution of IT and Cyber ​​Security service will be reorganised through the merger with the state enterprise MoldData, according to a Government decision, adopted on Friday, 30 August.

The public institution shall, within 02 months, from the date of entry into force of decision, elaborate and submit for approval to the Council of institution the structure and effective limit of institution, and within 04 months, it will submit proposals to the State Chancellery (CS) for revising the regulatory framework relevant to the activity of merged legal entities, including the Statute of institution.

The project was elaborated in the context of implementation of the Strategy on reform of public administration for 2016 – 2020, within IInd stage of the structural restructuring of specialised central public administration. Also, the project comes to ensure the partial fulfillment of some objectives assumed by Government in the national Strategy for development of the info society: Digital Moldova 2020, especially regarding the need to establish and define clearly the functions of elaborating the status policy within cyber security by functions of implementation of the policy in this field, as well as by functions of performing the cyber security audit.
