Head of Migration and Asylum Bureau suspended from office

Chisinau, 10 September /MOLDPRES/- Head of the Bureau of Migration and Asylum within the Ministry of Internal Affairs (MAI) has been suspended from office. An order to this effect was signed on 9 September by Interior Minister Andrei Năstase.
The head of MAI press service, Liliana Puscasu, confirmed the information.
Late last week, the Prosecutor's Office announced that one of the former SIS deputy heads was arrested for expulsion of the seven Turkish citizens, and the director of the Bureau of Migration and Asylum was charged and filed temporary suspension from office.
