Chisinau, 10 September /MOLDPRES/- Comrat authorities will implement a project that will facilitate the movement of people with disabilities.
The program was recently discussed by mayor Serghei Anastasov and representatives of the Center for people with limited possibilities.
The sides approached a pilot project, conducted by the Embassy of Finland, which aims to provide free access for people with musculoskeletal problems.
The project provides advice to local public authorities to monitor the access of people with disabilities to public buildings and common interest and, respectively, to create the necessary conditions for this category of population, according to comrat.md.
According to Serghei Anastasov, Comrat is ready to create optimal conditions for citizens with special needs, "thus developing the comfort level of urban infrastructure".
The aforementioned project, supported by Finland, is implemented in six cities in the Republic of Moldova, including Comrat and Ceadâr-Lunga.
